War of the Worlds

I am very biased by this film. I lived where part of the film was shot and passed by the set every single day from school. Tom Cruise plays Ray Ferrier, a single, divorced father of two who gets stuck in the middle of an alien invasion while trying to get to Boston with his two kids.

A Few Good Men

One of Cruise's early 90's roles has him as a United States Navy lawyer who has to defend two United States Marines who are accused of murder. This film was one of the first to shotgun Cruise to film fame.

Edge of Tomorrow

Live. Die. Repeat.

Edge of Tomorrow was a fantastic film. Tom Cruise really brought his all to the role of Major William Cage who keeps dying in combat and coming back to life. His role is filled with humor and has action as well.

Rain Man

This is a film that is very well known due to a great performance from Tom Cruise as well as his costar Dustin Hoffman. He plays an arrogant brother of Hoffman's autistic Ray Babbit.

Mission Impossibe Film Series (Except Second One)

Tom Cruise produces and stars in the Mission Impossible film series. He plays Ethan Hunt in all of the films which are all great except for the second film which just feels long and boring.

Knight and Day

Knight and Day reunites Cruise with his Vanilla Sky costar Cameron Diaz. He plays secret agent Roy Miller who is on the run from the CIA after he is falsely accused of treason. The film is a fun romantic action comedy with a great performance from Cruise.

Vanilla Sky

When it was released, Vanilla Sky polarized audiences and critics alike. Half liked it, half hated it. But most can agree that it is a special film. A weird one that confuses audiences and forces them to think. Tom Cruise plays David Aames who owns a publishing firm and who's life is turned upside down when he gets into a car accident that disfigures his face.

Oblivion

Oblivion is a throwback to the old sci-fi movies of the 70's with a critically acclaimed performance from Cruise. Unfortunately that is all that can be said without spoiling the film.

Minority Report

Steven Spielberg directs Tom Cruise in this sci-fi thriller. Cruise plays John Anderton who is accused of a future crime of killing someone. Anderton goes on the run to try to prove his innocence.

Collateral

Tom Cruise is cast against his regular roles as a contract killer who holds a taxi cab driver hostage and forces him to drive him around Los Angeles to his targets. Cruise is almost unrecognizable as he dons gray hair and a suit.
